 A government high school, Chittagong Collegiate School can be found in the southern Bangladeshi port city of Chittagong. The educational program covers grades 5–12. As one of Chittagong's and Bangladesh's oldest and most prestigious educational institutions, it was founded in 1836. Chittagong Collegiate School marked 180 years since its founding in 2016. In 1836, Chittagong Government School opened its doors, eventually becoming Chittagong Collegiate School and College. This was Chittagong's first secondary school taught entirely in English. During the early years of British control, courses were conducted in a brick structure. The institution was relocated to Sahib Hills, a southern market district.
